My best friend sent this to me... An amazing story by an amazing pilot, aircraft & American!

Brian Shul is well known due to the safety talks he does on being prepared for the worst case. Before he was a SR-71 jock and an A-10 pilot, he was an A-1 pilot in Vietnam. His plane was shot down and he was unable to eject. He was severely burned in his egress from the crash, and was not expected to live, let alone be qualified to fly again. The PJ who rescued him became sick upon looking at him. Even more impressive, he was able to pass the physical requirements for the SR-71. I've met the guy a couple of times, very humorous guy, who still carries a lot of the scar tissue.

As a former SR-71 pilot, and a professional keynote speaker, the question I'm most often asked is "How fast would that SR-71 fly?" I can be assured of hearing that question several times at any event I attend. It's an interesting question, given the aircraft's proclivity for speed, but there really isn't one number to give, as the jet would always give you a little more speed if you wanted it to. It was common to see 35 miles a minute. Because we flew a programmed Mach number on most missions, and never wanted to harm the plane in any way, we never let it run out to any limits of temperature or speed.

Thus, each SR-71 pilot had his own individual "high" speed that he saw at some point on some mission. I saw mine over Libya when Khadafy fired two missiles my way, and max power was in order. Let's just say that the plane truly loved speed and effortlessly took us to Mach numbers we hadn't previously seen. 

So it was with great surprise, when at the end of one of my presentations, someone asked, "What was the slowest you ever flew the Blackbird?" This was a first. After giving it some thought, I was reminded of a story that I had never shared before, and relayed the following.

I was flying the SR-71 out of RAF Mildenhall, England, with my back-seater, Walt Watson; we were returning from a mission over Europe and the Iron Curtain when we received a radio transmission from home base. As we scooted across Denmark in three minutes, we learned that a small RAF base in the English countryside had requested an SR-71 fly-past. The air cadet commander there was a former Blackbird pilot, and thought it would be a motivating moment for the young lads to see the mighty SR-71 perform a low approach. No problem, we were happy to do it.

After a quick aerial refueling over the North Sea, we proceeded to find the small airfield.   Walter had a myriad of sophisticated navigation equipment in the back seat, and began to vector me toward the field. Descending to subsonic speeds, we found ourselves over a densely wooded area in a slight haze. Like most former WWII British airfields, the one we were looking for had a small tower and little surrounding infrastructure. Walter told me we were close and that I should be able to see the field, but I saw nothing.   Nothing but trees as far as I could see in the haze. We got a little  lower, and I pulled the throttles back from 325 knots. With the gear up, anything under 275 was just uncomfortable. Walt said we were practically over the field-yet; there was nothing in my windscreen. I banked the jet and started a gentle circling maneuver in hopes of picking up anything that looked like a field.

Meanwhile, below, the cadet commander had taken the cadets up on the catwalk of the tower in order to get a prime view of the fly-past. It was a quiet, still day with no wind and partial gray overcast.

Walter continued to give me indications that the field should be below us but in the overcast and haze, I couldn't see it. The longer we continued to peer out the window and circle, the slower we got.

With our power back, the awaiting cadets heard nothing. I must have had good instructors in my flying career, as something told me I better cross-check the gauges. As I noticed the airspeed indicator slide below 160 knots, my heart stopped and my adrenalin-filled left hand pushed two throttles full forward.

At this point we weren't really flying, but were falling in a slight bank.
Just at the moment that both afterburners lit with a thunderous roar of flame (and what a joyous feeling that was) the aircraft fell into full view of the shocked observers on the tower.

Shattering the still quiet of that morning, they now had 107 feet of fire-breathing titanium in their face as the plane leveled and accelerated, in full burner, on the tower side of the infield, closer than expected, maintaining what could only be described as some sort of ultimate knife-edge pass.

Quickly reaching the field boundary, we proceeded back to Mildenhall without incident. We didn't say a word for those next 14 minutes.

After landing, our commander greeted us, and we were both certain he was reaching for our wings. Instead, he heartily shook our hands and said the commander had told him it was the greatest SR-71 fly-past he had ever seen, especially how we had surprised them with such a precise maneuver that could only be described as breathtaking.

He said that some of the cadet's hats were blown off and the sight of the plan form of the plane in full afterburner dropping right in front of them was unbelievable.
Walt and I both understood the concept of "breathtaking" very well that morning, and sheepishly replied that they were just excited to see our low approach.

As we retired to the equipment room to change from space suits to flight suits, we just sat there-we hadn't spoken a word since "the pass." Finally, Walter looked at me and said, "One hundred fifty-six knots.

What did you see?" Trying to find my voice, I stammered, "One hundred fifty-two."

We sat in silence for a moment. Then Walt said, "Don't ever do that to me again!" And I never did. 

 A year later, Walter and I were having lunch in the Mildenhall Officer's club, and overheard an officer talking to some cadets about an SR-71 fly-past that he had seen one day. Of course, by now the story included kids falling off the tower and screaming as the heat of the jet singed their eyebrows.

Noticing our HABU patches, as we stood there with lunch trays in our hands, he asked us to verify to the cadets that such a thing had occurred. Walt just shook his head and said, "It was probably just a routine low approach; they're pretty impressive in that plane." Impressive indeed.   Little did I realize after relaying this experience to my audience that day that it would become one of the most popular and most requested stories. It's ironic that people are interested in how slow the world's fastest jet can fly.

Regardless of your speed, however, it's always a good idea to keep that cross-check up...and keep your Mach up, too.

Now, you may be thinking, “I know what those words mean… Do you think I’m stupid”? Not in the least! However, if you will remember back to the sixth grade, and learning about “The Scientific Method”, one of the first things you must do is to define the conventions under which you will conduct your work. Therefore, in order to logically proceed; the primary subject must be defined (BTW… The bolded words in the definitions above are my emphasis).

There is no doubt that the biggest news story of the past few weeks has been that of “ClimateGate”! Well... Anyway… It’s the biggest news story in every country other than the United States! So much for the vaunted Fifth Estate… It has been more than forty years since the last big piece of journalistic investigation & honest reporting… Watergate. Since the Watergate affair, the American media has not been able to find their collective “arses” with both hands!

And now, with a story of felony fraud & theft, which reaches around the globe and makes Bernie Madoff look like a rank amateur; the American state-controlled media is once again, being made to look like the vacuous morons they are (My apologies to any morons in the audience who may be offended).

So, let’s take a look at some representative stories about “ClimateGate”. I give the source, contributor (if not a collective piece), date and link to the original piece. For the sake of not having to hire an interpreter, I have zeroed-in on the Canadian, British and Australian media. A few of you have asked what I think about ClimateGate. Mostly I concur with Tyler Cowen and Robin Hanson: I have so far seen no evidence of the kind of grand conspiracy that some critics have charged. Rather, to my mind this is about how real science (unfortunately) does sometimes get done. ….. That doesn't mean their paradigm is wrong; rather, it means we need to be less romantic about the practice of science. Liberals 'liberated' as ETS heads for defeat

Newly-elected Opposition Leader Tony Abbott says the Liberal Party has been liberated from the Government's emissions trading scheme (ETS).

The legislation is headed for defeat and Mr Abbott says he is ready to fight the Government on climate change.

He told ABC1's The 7:30 Report he hopes to have a substantial climate policy finalised early in the new year.

"We're now moving forward, looking forward to fighting a great big new tax," he said.

"But the Liberal Party is liberated as of today.

"This isn't about climate change, it's about the mechanism for dealing with it. It's about stopping a great big ne w tax."

The Federal Government's third attempt at getting its emissions trading scheme through Parliament already appears to be heading for defeat.

The Government says it wants to give the Opposition another chance to support the legislation. It plans to reintroduce the scheme in February, even though the Senate yesterday rejected it for a second time.

But Opposition Leader Tony Abbott says he expects the Coalition's position to harden over the summer break.

He has ruled out taking an emissions trading scheme or a carbon tax to the next election as Coalition policy and says there is "very little" chance the Coalition would vote for one in February.

Nationals Senate Leader Barnaby Joyce does not think the public will be impressed by the idea of a third vote.

"The Australian people will just get furious with you. We've made our decision, you're playing a game and we're sick of it," he said.

"Get over it, get on with life and get back to the next item of politics."

The American media? Well… See last two paragraphs prior to “CLIMATE-GATE” REFERENCES. To put a fine point on this entire matter, think about this…

During last week’s federal by-elections in Australia, the Liberal Party knocked out The Greens and promptly declared ETS (Emissions Trading Scheme) legislation “dead”. ETS is the Aussie version of US Cap & Trade. Now remember… It was the Liberal Party in Oz that killed ETS (At least they’re honest enough to call it what it is… A SCHEME)… Immediately after federal elections! And what were the primary reasons Australians voted as they did? Two reasons… (#1) “Climate-Gate” story breaks; causing immediate doubt as to the validity of what has been shoved down their throats; and (#2) The awful realization that they would be taxed beyond comprehension; potentially destroying their way of life & decimating their economy.

Pretty smart lot, those Aussies! Pretty sorry lot, that American media!

A Sad, Sad... Sobering Day

Yesterday, American soldiers were unmercifully slaughtered at the hands of a committed muslim terrorist at Fort Hood, Texas. The shootings took place at 1:30 in the afternoon, Central Time... At 5:00, some 3-½ hours after the mayhem began, America finally heard from the President of the United States. And what America heard were shallow, insincere, coarse and wholly inappropriate remarks, from a walking, talking, illiterate, crass, self-centered buffoon. A very accurate accounting of this embarrassing episode comes from NBC Chicago. I have posted the report for you here, and also provided the link so you can go to the source. Obama's Frightening Insensitivity Following Shooting

A bad week for Democrats compounded by an awful moment for Barack Obama.

President Obama didn't wait long after Tuesday's devastating elections to give critics another reason to question his leadership, but this time the subject matter was more grim than a pair of governorships.

After news broke out of the shooting at the Fort Hood Army post in Texas, the nation watched in horror as the toll of dead and injured climbed. The White House was notified immediately and by late afternoon, word went out that the president would speak about the incident prior to a previously scheduled appearance. At about 5 p.m., cable stations went to the president. The situation called for not only his trademark eloquence, but also grace and perspective.

But instead of a somber chief executive offering reassuring words and expressions of sympathy and compassion, viewers saw a wildly disconnected and inappropriately light president making introductory remarks. At the event, a Tribal Nations Conference hosted by the Department of Interior's Bureau of Indian affairs, the president thanked various staffers and offered a "shout-out" to "Dr. Joe Medicine Crow -- that Congressional Medal of Honor winner." Three minutes in, the

president spoke about the shooting, in measured and appropriate terms. Who is advising him?

Anyone at home aware of the major news story of the previous hours had to have been stunned. An incident like this requires a scrapping of the early light banter. The president should apologize for the tone of his remarks, explain what has happened, express sympathy for those slain and appeal for calm and patience until all the facts are in. That's the least that should occur.

Indeed, an argument could be made that Obama should have canceled the Indian event, out of respect for people having been murdered at an Army post a few hours before. That would have prevented any sort of jarring emotional switch at the event.

Did the president's team not realize what sort of image they were presenting to the country at this moment? The disconnect between what Americans at home knew had been going on -- and the initial words coming out of their president's mouth was jolting, if not disturbing.

It must have been disappointing for many politically aware Democrats, still reeling from the election two days before. The New Jersey gubernatorial vote had already demonstrated that the president and his political team couldn't produce a winning outcome in a state very friendly to Democrats (and where the president won by 15 points one year ago). And now this? Congressional Democrats must wonder if a White House that has burdened them with a too-heavy policy agenda over the last year has a strong enough political operation to help push that agenda through.

If the president's communications apparatus can't inform -- and protect -- their boss during tense moments when the country needs to see a focused commander-in-chief and a compassionate head of state, it has disastrous consequences for that president's party and supporters.

All the president's men (and women) fell down on the job Thursday. And Democrats across the country have real reason to panic.

After the inauguration of Barack Hussein Obama, there was a reawakening of sorts; a rediscovery, if you will; of the novel published in 1956 by Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged. What was the genesis of this rediscovery, which continues even today? The unmitigated and fanatical attack by the federal government upon individual liberty & freedom! The movement to rip the beating heart out of the Body of American Idealism by Obama and his unabashedly Marxist cohort is an anathema to freedom loving peoples everywhere. Professor Ralph R. Reiland of Robert Morris University wrote in a piece in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review...

“In Atlas Shrugged, a novel by Ayn Rand, the most productive and creative citizens in the United States -- the innovators, risk-takers, artists, entrepreneurs, capitalists, intellectuals, industrialists -- overturn the conventional concept of victimhood and go on strike, refusing any longer to be exploited by society, refusing to be demonized as too successful, too rich, too individualistic, too free.

This is the pivotal event in the novel when the world finally takes notice of the folly and resultant destruction of statism upon people, both individually and collectively; the economy; morality & good social order, across all aspects and constructs of society. John Galt, the protagonist of Atlas Shrugged, is finally fed-up with the enslavement of the individual by the central government & the lazy, parasitic vermin which suck the life out of society by relying on the government to provide all of their needs & wants through the confiscation of private property.

It is for these very reasons that thousands of Americans either have, or are researching & seriously considering emigrating from the United States; some of whom are very prominent in American society have taken to dropping not so subtle hints. Scores of small businesses & manufacturers have already folded their tents and fled the scene. They just don’t see the sense in being raped by the state & federal governments. These “producers” of our society have taken their cue from Howard Beale… “I’m mad as hell and I’m not taking it anymore”! There have even been rumors of late that if they can get out from under the oppressive thumb of the federal government, that General Motors may nail the shutters closed on their Detroit world headquarters and moving to Ireland… Home to the lowest corporate tax rates in the world. One thing to keep in mind, is this… It’s not just a matter of moving you or your business off-shore… You still have US tax obligations & foreign governments have cooperative agreements with the United States to assist in collecting tax obligations. The only way to sever oneself from the long arm of the Internal Revenue Service is to renounce US citizenship and become a legal resident or citizen of your new home. This process can take some time… So, you might want to start your research today! There is a very quick escape route available to a chosen few… If you are Jewish, you can apply for Aliyah; emigrate to Israel in a state sponsored program and immediately assume Israeli citizenship… Sweet!

One of the advantages of being an “Air Force Brat” is that I lived all over the United States while growing up… Moving every 12 - 18 months, on average, until I left home to attend college. Therefore, I contend that as such, I have earned the right to choose anywhere I have lived as my “true” hometown. I also contend that analogous to this, is this… If you have had all you can stand of the political and social developments… If you take the time & make the effort to research which nation-state most closely aligns itself to your political, social and existential philosophy… Then you are making a well-reasoned, logical and rational decision.

Some will ridicule and heap scorn upon people considering such drastic actions… These are the people with the warped mindset which helps contribute to, and accelerates this kind of exodus. When faced with such animosity, contempt and scorn; who can blame the “producers” in America for looking to options which will restore their freedom, and their ability to enjoy the fruits of their hard labor?

I won’t get into boring & unimportant details… Suffice it to say that I apologize for a bit of an absence, BUT I AM BACK! So let’s get to it!

Of late, there have been many; including some proponents of the existence of global warming; who have begun to back-off from Al Gore & his minyans of eunuchs, who worship at the altar of ignorance. Some of these disillusioned, lost souls, are starting to become a little… Shall we say… “unhinged”. So today, I bring you a solution to their pain & confusion… A simple scientific experiment which will help them return to reality. This simple demonstration truly comes from a ministry of love & concern!

“Melting Polar Ice Caps Will Flood Continents!!!”

We have all seen these dire predictions & headlines… Let me give you a very simple science experiment which you can perform to show how bereft these Pollyannas are… And what little capacity they have to understand science or to apply common sense…

Materials Needed:

One large, tall drinking glass (for ease of measurement);

Enough ice cubes to fill the glass to the ¾ mark;

Room temperature water to fill the glass to the top;

Saran-Wrap

Kitchen timer.

Procedure:

Place ice into glass;

Fill glass to very top of the glass, with water, just touching the brim of the glass;

Cover top of glass completely, tightly, with Saran-Wrap;

Set timer for 45 minutes;

Set glass aside to remain undisturbed.

Return to measure the water level after the timer rings… Water level will be BELOW the rim!

Hypothesis:

The current “consensus” belief is that global warming is taking place, and the resultant melting of the polar ice caps will cause widespread, devastating flooding of the existing landmass.

This is false, and, in fact, the opposite is true; if, in fact, global warming exists.

If global warming exists & the polar icecaps melt; then the ice caps (ice, being the solid, expanded form of water) would displace LESS water than they currently do. By displacing a lesser volume of liquid water, sea levels would DROP; thus exposing MORE landmass than is currently exposed!

When conducting the above described experiment, as outlined; the water level will be LOWER than the rim of the glass; thus simulating a drop in current sea level/displaced water volume/increased exposed landmass.

CONCLUSION:

The Gang That Couldn’t Shoot Straight… Because They’ve Never Touched A Gun!

General Curtis LeMay, in his role as Commander-in-Chief of the Strategic Air Command (Responsible for two of the three legs of the United States’ nuclear triad), was known to have told Wing Commanders, when confronting them after a failed Inspector General’s visit; or when they were unable to generate their aircraft for either an anticipated or unannounced “Generation Exercise” (An exercise to test the ability of an Air Wing to put their airplanes in the sky and execute their wartime mission), “Colonel, I don’t know whether you are unfortunate, or incompetent… But, I don’t have the time to figure that out… You are relieved!”.

Harsh? Maybe… But, I think not. After all, we are talking about the readiness & capabilities surrounding the security and possible deployment & utilization of nuclear weapons… And the American people rightfully expect nothing less than the flawless execution of these duties and responsibilities. There is just too much at stake to expect anything else!

Break… Break… New Subject…

Over the course of the past couple of weeks, there has been much which has been learned & reported about President Obama’s, now “ex” Green Czar, Van Jones. As Jones’ background, words, associations and assertions were uncovered; the White House continued to stand by Jones, and comment that all of these “allegations” were false, and mischaracterized. The White House refused to directly comment on Jones’ self-avowed allegiance to communist, revolutionary goals; hoping upon “Hope” that it would all just go away.

Sorry, Charlie... It just didn’t “go away”! In fact, the not so fantastical “legend” continued to grow, and with even the most cursory examination of available facts, it was all able to be clearly seen… Even by a blind man… That Van Jones was a communist and racist. In the end, Jones had to resign. Yet, even in his resignation communique, Jones refuses to acknowledge that he brought this all upon himself; and vows to continue his work to establish a new, totalitarian nation. Oh, and by the way… It was George W Bush who was responsible for 9-11… Not al Qaeda!

The White House blames this unfortunate appointment of Jones to the post of Presidential Advisor, to the fact that Jones was not required to complete the “Supplemental Questionnaire”. WHAT??? Whose requirement is it to complete ANY supplemental paperwork, in regard to ANY White House or Cabinet appointment? Answer is: IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY WHITE HOUSE!!! THAT’S WHO IS RESPONSIBLE… NOT THE PARTY BEING VETTED!!!

In this case… And who knows in how many other cases, did these “Czars” or Presidential Advisors, fail to complete this “Supplemental Questionnaire”? And, if they, too, did not complete this paperwork… Just how difficult is it to learn about people’s shady, if not criminal, backgrounds? Ever hear of a tiny little thing called “Google”?

Now, back to the General LeMay story, and how this all ties together…

Mistakes such as the Van Jones (and there are other “Czars” who have even more heinous contempt for the United States than does Jones) “vetting” process… Or lack thereof… Should prompt the American public to send a clear message to President Obama…

“I don’t know whether you are unfortunate, or incompetent… But, I don’t have the time to figure that out… You are relieved!”.

Harsh? Maybe… But, I think not. After all, there is just too much at stake to expect anything less than flawless execution.

Next Wednesday, September 9th, the President will address a Joint Session of Congress to relaunch his attempt to reform “healthcare”… “health insurance”… or whatever descriptive tested best in the latest focus group.

I was wondering earlier this evening… “What would happen if the President gave a speech & nobody came”? Well… Let’s find out!

Contact your Republican Representatives and Senators to urge them, in the most respectful & strongest terms, to BOYCOTT THE JOINT SESSION ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT! Call both their local & Washington offices… Talk to your neighbors, family and like-minded friends and encourage them to call, too! And when you have the opportunity, call your local radio talk shows to get the word out… And even try calling national talk shows!

There isn’t much time! We MUST act now! There is tomorrow (Friday)… Monday is a holiday… Then Tuesday & Wednesday… WE CAN GET IT DONE!

Moreover… We MUST get it done! Yes... It is that important to our children & our country!

Fort Worth TX… Quincy IL… Plano TX… Dallas TX… Columbia MO… This is just a very short list of school districts which will NOT carry the President’s message next Tuesday (Ironic, isn’t it? PrezBo wants to address school children the day after LABOR DAY). However, there are other school boards & superintendents who have not yet made a definitive decision. While some school boards & administrators are allowing parents to have their children opt-out of the broadcast, others are just ducking the issue… And therein lies an even more troublesome situations for school districts.

Tens upon thousands of parents are calling district offices and letting them know that if the decision is made to participate in the broadcast, that they will keep their child out of school for the day. The REAL problem for administrators? No kid in the seat… No funding for the day! HEY! HEY! HEY! This is GREAT NEWS for concerned parents! While school districts are scraping the bottom of every barrel for every nickle they can find; PARENTS are now in the driver’s seat to be able to exercise “The Power of the Purse”! And they should confidently & assuredly wield this power while they have it in order to send educators, the White House and the NEA & ATF a powerful message… “YOU WILL NOT MANIPULATE OUR CHILDREN”!

Want to send your local school board & school district administrators a clear message? Here’s what you do…

1. Call your school district’s administrative offices & ask them if they will be participating in the President’s broadcast on Tuesday;

2. If the answer is “No”, be sure to thank them for exercising good judgement in this situation;

3. If the answer is a definitive,“Yes”; or, they offer you an opportunity to “Opt-Out” your child from participating; let them know that you are very disappointed to hear that, and let them know that your child will NOT be in school on Tuesday.

In as far as #3, above, is concerned; While you may be able to “opt” your child out of the broadcast… There is no guarantee that you will be able to opt them out of the post-presentation indoctrination session! Don’t get sucked into that little scheme… Stand fast and keep your child out of school for the day.

The Legacy of Ted Kennedy... What You Won't See on the Network This Week...

A few days ago, from her grave, I thought I heard the voice ofMary Jo Kopechne (July 26, 1940 ‐ July 18, 1969)...

"This year I would have been 67 years old. My only wish, is that you please

refresh your memory of me and my murderer."

“When Senator Ted Kennedy was merely just another Democrat bloating on

Capitol Hill on behalf of liberal causes, it was perhaps excusable to ignore his

deplorable past. But now that he has become the leading Democrat attack

dog, positioning himself as Washington 's leading arbiter of truth and

integrity, the 20 days for such indulgence are now over. It is time for good

Americans to stand up and remind our countrymen why this man had to

abandon his own presidential bid in 1980. It is time to say the words, "Mary Jo

Kopechne" out loud.”

As is often the case, Republicans have deluded themselves into thinking that

most Americans already know the story of how the "Conscience of the

Democrat Party" left Miss Kopechne behind to die in the waters underneath

the Edgartown, Massachusetts, Bridge on July 17th, 1969 after a night of

drinking and partying with the young blonde campaign worker.

But most Americans under 40 have never heard that story, or the details of

how Kennedy swam to safety, and then tried to get his cousin Joe Garghan to

say he, Garghan, was behind the wheel.

Those young voters don't know how Miss Kopechne, trapped inside Kennedy's

Oldsmobile, gasped for air until she ﬁnally died (some medical experts saying

two and one‐half hours later), while this leading Democrat Iraq war critic

rushed back to his family's compound to formulate the best alibi possible.

Nor does Gen‐X know how Kennedy was thrown out of Harvard on his ear 15

years earlier for paying a fellow student to take his Spanish ﬁnal.

Nor why the US Army denied him a commission because he cheated on tests.

As they listened to the Democrats' "Liberal Lion" accuse President Bush of

"telling lie after lie after lie" to get America to go to war in Iraq, young voters

don't know about that notorious 1991 Easter weekend in Palm Beach, when

Uncle Teddy rounded up his nephews for a night on the town; an evening that

ended with one of them credibly accused of rape.

It's time for Republicans and Democrats with a soul to state unabashedly that

they will no longer "go along with the gag" when it comes to Uncle Ted's rants

about deception and moral turpitude inside the Bush White House.

Since the Republicans won't do it, let's do it ourselves by passing this

forgotten chapter of history to everyone you know in order to wake up the

memories of that disgrace to our nation's leadership, which is Ted Kennedy.

AND…

Isn’t it also a magniﬁcation of this disgrace and shame that this man was

recently awarded the Medal of Freedom by President Obama. Sickening!

It now has 16,000 full-time government employees and approximately 100,000 contract employees. And just take a look at the marvelously wonderful job it has done to accomplish it’s solitary mission & reason for coming into existence! We have gone from importing less than 30% of our crude oil consumption to more than 65%! HEY! That’s going in the WRONG direction!

I’ll tell you what… Give me just one, single payment of ONE billion dollars, and I’ll have the original mission accomplished within one year… Declare “Victory”… Turn off the lights... Shut the doors & lock it all up!

Now, this is where you slap yourself in the forehead and ask, "WHAT Were We THINKING?" Ah, Yes! Good old government bureaucratic efficiency!

And NOW we’re going to turn the banking & financial systems, all of healthcare and the auto industry over to these same geniuses? Unbelievable, right? Yeah… Unbelievably STUPID!!!

The Tide is Turning!

Today I’m going to take a look at the recent gains being made by Conservatives; and taking a deep breath because we ARE winning this fight for America!

Radio Hall of Famer Neal Boortz has a descriptor which he uses for the vast majority of people who do not take the time to keep up with current events, or for that matter, even bother to improve their understanding of how it is that the United States has gotten to where we are today. Boortz calls this bunch… “The Dumb-Masses”. To be sure, there are a whole lot of “Dumb-Masses” out here! When I become exasperated by these folks I just wonder out loud, “How in the world did the United States ever get to where we are today with idiots like these, wasting my oxygen?”.

But, I am beginning to gain a strong sense of a re-awakening of the American people mobilizing; taking strong & substantive action to hold their elected representatives accountable; putting the pols on notice that come the next election cycle… THEY’RE GONE!

And this re-awakening isn’t limited to, or having impact only among Republicans… This frustration of the electorate is also manifesting itself among Democrats! The Democrats in office are embarrassing the Hell out of their supporters back home! Even these folks are waking up to the realization that they have been “had” by the socialists who have hijacked their Party!

People who have NEVER attended a townhall meeting, written a letter to the editor of their local newspaper, called their Representative or Senators in Washington, D.C., are certainly doing so now! This is democracy in action! I take a little comfort these days in watching the true character of America surfacing… That of a conservative people, who just want to be left alone by the federal government to live their lives in peace & to provide for their families the best they can. People are also reading the Constitution (most for the first time!) and realizing what a simple, elegant, and straight-forward document it really is… And this scares the Hell out of the Socialists! People are realizing that 99.999% of everything the federal government does, and has done over the past 100 years is unconstitutional; and is designed to limit the people’s freedom to live their lives as they best see fit… And the “Dumb-Masses” are wising-up & telling Washington… “NO”! It’s OUR country… OUR government… OUR lives… And we’re just not going to put-up with anymore talk or actions which are driving us toward the unending, enslaving Hell of Socialism!

Opponents of health insurance reform may find the truth a little inconvenient, but as our second president famously said, "facts are stubborn things."

Scary chain emails and videos are starting to percolate on the internet, breathlessly claiming, for example, to "uncover" the truth about the President’s health insurance reform positions.

In this video, Linda Douglass, the communications director for the White House’s Health Reform Office, addresses one example that makes it look like the President intends to "eliminate" private coverage, when the reality couldn’t be further from the truth.

For the record, the President has consistently said that if you like your insurance plan, your doctor, or both, you will be able to keep them. He has even proposed eight consumer protections relating specifically to the health insurance industry.

There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. • Page 22: Mandates audits of all employers that self-insure!
• Page 29: Admission: your health care will be rationed!
• Page 30: A government committee will decide what treatments and benefits you get (and, unlike an insurer, there will be no appeals process)
• Page 42: The "Health Choices Commissioner" will decide health benefits for you. You will have no choice. NONE!
• Page 50: All non-US citizens, illegal or not, will be provided with free healthcare services… WHICH TAXPAYERS WILL PAY FOR!
• Page 58: Every person will be issued a National ID Healthcard.
• Page 59: The federal government will have direct, real-time access to all individual bank accounts for electronic funds transfer.

Mister William "Bill" Jones... What He Meant to Me

I was in the midst of preparing a blistering analysis of the forthcoming debate over national healthcare policy, when I was startled by a sobering piece of news which was relayed to me by my father. A longtime family friend has passed… Mister William “Bill” Jones.

This news bothers me so much that I know already that I will not be able to do justice to this man’s memory, and what his life example has meant to me… Especially during difficult times & trials. I found out earlier this week that he had been ill, but that he was doing better and was out of the hospital. I planned on going to visit him today or tomorrow.

My family had the Honour & Privilege of forming a life-long friendship with the Jones Family beginning in 1968, after my Dad returned from Southeast Asia and was assigned to Carswell AFB. They were members of the church we started attending; and the friendship blossomed & grew heartily. I was in the fifth-grade… My brother in the third-grade. All of us were immersed in various church activities…. And the Jones’ were one of many vibrant and illuminating members of not only our “church family”… But our extended family.

There were Friday nights when all of us would meet at Pulido’s for terrific mexican food & great family fun! There were also gatherings at each other’s homes for relaxation and fellowship. I remember times going to the Jones’ for bar-b-ques… Bill running the pit and leading the fun! My favorite times were when Bill would grill fajitas! They were absolutely the most tender and flavorful… THE BEST {And the steaks & ribs were good, too)!

Although I am a native Texan (born in Laredo), it was primarily and predominantly because of this time in my life, that I chose to henceforth call Fort Worth, “Home”. This is no small fete for an “Air Force Brat” who lived and attended school coast-to-coast & border-to-border, because I could legitimately lay claim to “hometown status” in any number of several cities or towns, among some dozen-or-so different states. I “CHOSE” Fort Worth! And Bill Jones was a large factor in that equation.

Bill was an “Oilman”… In every Honourable & Sensible precept of that description. He was formally educated at Texas A&I - Kingsville… With the wit and wisdom of the most learned of West Texas Sages! I don’t know if he knew how much he meant to me, in the process of me becoming a man… But I hope he knew, at least, that he had a hand in it all. To me, Bill Jones was as big of a figure & character in my life as John Wayne… And for me, that’s saying a lot!

Bill was a “Man’s Man”… A Gentleman of the First Order… And a shining example of how good, one man can be.

Saudis & Israelis In Accord Regarding Attack

According to reports from The London Times, Arutz Sheva and many other European and Middle Eastern news outlets; whenever the Israelis are ready to launch a strike against Iranian nuclear facilities, the Saudis will turn a blind eye to Israeli Air Force (IAF) warplanes traversing Saudi airspace. This development is greatly significant on several levels.

According to The London Times… “The Saudis have tacitly agreed to the Israeli air force flying through their airspace on a mission which is supposed to be in the common interests of both Israel and Saudi Arabia,” a diplomatic source said last week.

Although the countries have no formal diplomatic relations, an Israeli defence source confirmed that Mossad maintained “working relations” with the Saudis.

John Bolton, the former US ambassador to the United Nations who recently visited the Gulf, said it was “entirely logical” for the Israelis to use Saudi airspace.

Bolton, who has talked to several Arab leaders, added: “None of them would say anything about it publicly but they would certainly acquiesce in an overflight if the Israelis didn’t trumpet it as a big success.”

Arab states would condemn a raid when they spoke at the UN but would be privately relieved to see the threat of an Iranian bomb removed, he said.

The first reason that this is so vital is the fact that the IAF would be able to fly a much more simple mission profile. Taking a look at the combat capabilities of the IAF’s F-16I “Sufa” (Storm), the “Sufa” has a combat radius of at least 1,300 kilometers. With the use of Saudi airspace the IAF can, if/when they decide to launch, execute what should be a quick & clean attack. The full status of the capabilities of Iranian air defenses is not fully known; but, given the state of other known Iranian military systems, these systems should be able to be defeated.

Recent events and actions by both the Israelis and the Iranians point to anticipation of Israeli Defense Force (IDF) intervention beyond just an airstrike. Arutz Sheva reports today…

Several media sources reported Friday that an Israeli Dolphin submarine passed through the Suez Canal on its way to the Red Sea last month as part of a naval exercise. Israeli security officials told the Reuters news agency that the exercise was done as part of testing Israel’s strategy in light of the Iranian nuclear threat. Egypt denied the reports.

Two weeks ago, IDF Commander in Chief Gabi Ashkenazi related to Israel’s possibly striking Iran and announced that Iran’s re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad requires Israel to keep all its options open. “His severe expression regarding his desire to attack the State of Israel, and the constant allowance of Iran to acquire non-conventional weaponry, requires us to keep the army posted and prepared and the air force ready and sharp like a razor. Our obligation as an army is to put all the options on the table and to be prepared to deal with any threat for near and afar,” Ashkenazi said at an air force graduation course.

Foreign media reported that Israel is performing military maneuvers to prepare for a possible strike on Iran, while Iran is making defensive plans. Among the exercises was an Israeli long-distance refueling in flight to the Straits of Gibraltar and Iran’s employing an anti-ballistic battery a half year ago.

Many ask, “Why are the Israelis acting in such a belligerent manner?”. The proper question is, “With the Israelis taking steps to defend their very existence; why is the United States chastising & criticizing Israel, and is so fixated on establishing a Palestinian state? Why isn’t the United States standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Israel to stop the Iranians?”.

For these questions there are no coherent answers. Why? Because the US administration has, without explanation, plan or strategy; abandoned what has been joint US and British policy, along with many other nations, for more than sixty years.

Irrespective of those with anti-semitic causes and agendas; one thing is crystal-clear… The US administration has neither an understanding of the threat today, nor the lessons of history which teaches us how “not” to make the same mistakes; nor the fact that, in spite of their declaration; that the United States of America is not now, nor has it ever been or ever will be, a muslim nation.

I have really been doing some intense study into where else in the world I could move and escape from the flood of socialism which is drowning our Nation with the speed of heat. I have narrowed the list to two places... Australia or Israel. Now, when I speak of "escape", I'm not just talking about a temporary relocation. No, no, no... I am talking about emigrating to another country with which I can thrive without the yolk of federal tyranny... I'm talking about becoming a citizen of a new land and renouncing my American citizenship. Why? Because until you renounce your American citizenship you will still have the long-knives of the Internal Revenue Service slicing and shredding your flesh from your bone.

And then it happened... Yesterday... At 19:17 hours Eastern Daylight Savings Time... The US House of Representatives committed a heinous act of treason through their votes for HR 2454, "American Clean Energy and Security Act"... Or, more commonly known as "Cap & Trade"... Or, more accurately referred to as "Knee-Cap & Enslave". This legislative act of treason passed on a vote of 219-212, with eight Republicans voting "yea". Had those "RINOs" voted "nay" then I would not be posting this piece today.

The following "COWARDS" betrayed the American people, and their oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC. I sent the following message to each of them, appropriately personalized...

I remember having conversations with friends, family and more casual acquaintances just one year ago, asking them why they would ever consider voting for Barack Hussein Obama for President?

I talked ad nauseum about the well documented fact that Obama is a self-avowed communist. These people thought I was crazy & just didn’t want to see a black man elected President of the United States… WRONG!!! I didn’t want to see a COMM-U-NIST elected President of the United States!

I invite everyone to take a look at the definition of “socialism” below, from Dictionary.com:

Now, fast-forward to today…

AIG bailout & take over by the Treasury Department… Other solvent financial institutions strong-armed into taking federal TARP funds and not allowed to return the money to the Fed… Bank of America and Countrywide bailouts… Takeovers of Chrysler and General Motors by the “Car Czar”; a thirty-one year old law school drop-out Brian Deese.

Deese is another one of these “geniuses with no time in life” which are found all throughout the West Wing these days. Let be borrow a little bit from Glenn Beck’s background information on Brian Deese:

“Mr. Deese's role is unusual for someone who is neither a formally trained economist as well as not being a business school graduate. I'd like to point out that he also hasn't graduated from law school. They don't point that out. They say he is not a business school graduate and he has never spent much time flipping through the endless studies about the future of the American and Japanese auto industries.”

Now, surely Deese has some unique skill set which makes him supremely qualified to dismantle capitalism! Well, let’s see…

Deese attended Middlebury College, majoring in Political Science, the son of a political science professor. Deese enrolls at Yale Law School, but quits to work on Hillary Clinton’s campaign with the title of “Economic Advisor”. When Hillary’s campaign went tango-uniform, Deese jumped to the Obama campaign as an economic advisor. After the election Deese hung on to the transition team & wound-up in the White House as senior economic advisor & sole member of Obama’s Automotive Task Force.

Does any of this bother anyone?

Don't Abandon the Constitution Now!

I received suggestions for my next entry, and I will address those subjects in time. However, there is a question before the Nation which deserves everyone’s attention and immediate action… That is the nomination of Sonia Sotomayor as Associate Justice of the United States of America.

What follows is a slightly edited text of that which I sent to all seven Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee. This letter was sent to Jeff Sessions of Alabama, Orrin Hatch of Utah, Charles Grassley of Iowa, Jon Kyl of Arizona, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, John Cornyn of Texas, and Tom Coburn of Oklahoma.

I urge you to contact your US Representative & Senators to bring “thoughtful encouragement” upon these gentlemen to do their duty to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic! My next move will be to share this message with every Republican in the House and Senate, and with the top 50 newspapers and media outlets in the U.S.. What will be your next move?

Here is the text of my message to the Republican Senators on the Judiciary:

“I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experience would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”

Do those words of Sonia Sotomayor, in Berkely, California in 2002, bother you? If not, then do you defend the following remarks in 2002, by Judge Sotomayor; when she stated: "… I wonder whether by ignoring our differences as women or men of color we do a disservice both to the law and society."

Isn’t there supposed to be equal justice under the law? In a society which aspires to colorblindness and the rule of law rather than the rule of men, Judge Sotomayor’s public statements are breathtaking and call into question her ability to apply the law impartially. Additionally, her history of unabashedly legislating from the bench is prima facia evidence that she has not the temperment to serve as a juror, much less a jurist.

Consider that Sotomayor, in Ricci v. DeStefano upheld the policy of a city that used racially discriminatory practices to deny promotion for firefighters.

In this case, Sotomayor was chastised by fellow Clinton appointee, Judge José Cabranes regarding her reckless and indefensible action in summarily dismissing the case and failing to apply the law equally.

I am writing you today to ask you to stand together to defend the Constitution of the United States of America. I am asking you to stand together… Do not break ranks… And exhibit your Patriotism & Fidelity to Our Nation by stopping this farce of a nomination by forcing the provisions of Rule IV of the Rules of Procedure of the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary, which states: "The Chairman shall entertain a non-debatable motion to bring a matter before the Committee to a vote. If there is objection to bring the matter to a vote without further debate, a roll call vote of the Committee shall be taken, and debate shall be terminated if the motion to bring the matter to a vote without further debate passes with ten votes in the affirmative, one of which must be cast by the minority."

You and the other six Republican Senators of the Judiciary Committee have the power to prevent the confirmation of Judge Sotomayor to the Supreme Court from being rammed through the Senate. The American people have heard the news reports that this nomination is a fait accompli. You & I both know that there is nothing further from the truth! The American people have heard Republican leaders state that they want to be "fair." And you should be! And you are to be applauded for giving liberals more courtesy than they extended to Judge Robert Bork, Justice Clarence Thomas, Justice Samuel Alito, Chief Justice John Roberts and others. However, the Senate must not serve as a rubber stamp of this extreme nominee. There is no place for judicial activism on the Supreme Court!

More important than anything else I send to you today, please take note of this plea from a simple, old soldier…

Do not abandon and dishonour the sacrifices made by my family & our Brothers in Arms by not stopping this nomination dead in it’s tracks. In the past three generations of my family we have served in the 45th Infantry Division which landed at Anzio… We have served in the Korean Conflict… Continual twenty-four Hour Airborne Alert in a B-52, flying tracks over the Atlantic during the Cuban Missile Crisis during that fateful week in October… Air and ground combat in Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia… The Cold War… Genada, W.I. during Operation Urgent Fury… And left our families to answer the call to active duty during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

We all have served our country with Honour & Distinction for those ideals upon which Our Nation was founded, and for the Liberty & Freedom that is given by God Almighty to all men for the past seventy-plus years. We all have done our duty… All I am asking is that you do yours.

The Automobile Commissar... BRILLIANT!

Today, Mike Allen of The Politico reports that the Hussein administration, acting in its role as the most genius of all automotive geniuses, has announced that they are making deep cuts in the number of dealerships that they will allow to exist, going forward.

Allen reports an administration official telling him, “It’s important to understand what our role is and what it isn’t” the source said. “We are obviously very involved with these companies - we have a whole team of people here spending a lot of time with these companies. Among other things, we are certainly spending a lot of time on their business plans, including their dealer network and what the right size of the deal (dealership network) is.”

Allen’s source goes on, “But what we’re not doing is going on a micro level in terms of how many dealers should there be in the state of Kansas, who (how) many dealers should there be in Wichita - even, necessarily, how many dealers should there be across the country. We’re really vetting business plans. The company produces business plans - including dealers, including the size of the dealer footprint in the aggregate. We look at the numbers that fall out from that and offer thoughts. But we don’t sit there and go dealer by dealer.”

WHAT??? The Automobile Commissar is mandating deep cuts in the number of GM and Chrysler dealers, but the central planners are not dictating how many dealers will be in your neighborhood, or your region, or your state, and they’re not going to even dictate how many dealers there will be across the nation? WHAT???

Oh, but wait! Everything will be fine because the central planners are really doing a deep dive into the structure and operations of GM and Chrysler. Oh, REALLY??? Allen’s source says, “We’re really vetting business plans.” Oh, REALLY??? The source continues, “The company produces business plans - including dealers, including the size of the dealer footprint in the aggregate. We look at the numbers that fall out from that and offer thoughts. But we don’t sit there and go dealer by dealer.” Oh, REALLY???

BULLS&!#!!! Let me translate into simple english… We’re looking at everything in great detail in order to make broad, radical, sweeping changes in the American automobile industry, but we’re not actually looking at either the micro or macro business implications on the industry. But, we will dictate what you will make, how much it will cost, and we will slash the number of sales outlets, which is the only place where sales take place. And one other thing, you (GM and Chrysler) will no longer be allowed to advertise or sponsor events, which would get the brand names in front of where your potential customers spend their time. No sales people… No advertising! BRILLIANT!!!

The result? Well, according to John McEleney, Chairman of the National Automobile Dealers Association, these actions by the Automobile Commissar will cost American workers in the auto industry 200,000 jobs.

What Goes Around, Comes Around!

What a grand and glorious week this has been for the sworn enemies of the United States of America! And for the sake of brevity, and for the balance of this missive, these collective conspirators shall be referred to as the “Enemies of the State”

First, the Enemies of the State got their way when President Hussein declassified Central Intelligence Agency memos outlining enhanced interrogation techniques which were reviewed for their legitimate, fundamental effectiveness as well as their legality as to where these fall on the x-axis, with “not torture” on one end of the array versus “definitely torture” on the opposite end of the scale. Not only did the declassification and release of these documents outline the specific criteria for employing such techniques (which, by the way, are still in effect for President Hussein’s administration) but specifically named those parties involved in the review, approval and classification of these activities. In other words, the Hussein administration collectively gave our intelligence community one big kiss on the mouth, Vis-à-vis, Don Vito Corleone!

Next, the Enemies of the State got a bonus when President Hussein didn’t just open the proverbial door, but actually tore the door right off its hinges when he left it to the Attorney General to investigate the prior legitimate acts of the G.W. Bush administration for possible civil and criminal prosecutions.

Well, so much for the “non-thinking-stuck-on-stupid-antidisestablishmentarianism-let’s-live-only-for-the-moment-because-we’re-part-of-the-whacked-out-still-trying-to-recover-from-a-bad-acid-trip-in-1969-oh-by-the-way-why-is-the-earth-still-here-because-we-were-all-supposed-to-be-dead-by-now-due-to-the-looming-ice-age-that-would-totally-destroy-all-living-creatures-by-1979” crowd. January 21st, 2013… the incoming Conservative administration, backed by overwhelming Conservative majorities in both the US House of Representatives and the US Senate, which began as 50%+1 majorities after the 2010 mid-term elections; call for immediate criminal investigations of both legislative & executive leaders from the departing Hussein administration under the provisions of newly signed Executive Order #1… “The Identification & Eradication of Enemies of Freedom”...

Just hours ago, the Teleprompter of the United States (TOTUS) told the President of the United States (POTUS) that he needed to address the North Korean missile launch today. Here is the quote from POTUS, “North Korea broke the rules… Once again… By testing a rocket that could be used for long-range missiles.” White House staffers are scrambling to determine if POTUS misspoke, or if he was ill-served by TOTUS; either intentionally or unintentionally.

You may be asking, “What in the Hell is he talking about?” Here’s what I’m talking about… POTUS doesn’t know what he’s talking about… There is a HUGE difference between a “rocket” and a “missile”.

“rocket - noun - any of various simple or complex tubelike devices containing combustibles that on being ignited liberate gases whose action propels the tube through the air”.

“missile - noun - an aerial missile, as a rocket, steered during its flight by radio signals, clockwork controls, etc…”

The North Koreans launched a MISSILE today… NOT A ROCKET! The POTUS Propaganda Machine says the test was a failure because the North Koreans failed to reach orbit. Hey! Herr Goebbels (Robert Gibbs)! The goal of the test launch was not to reach earth orbit, because you don’t have to reach earth orbit to deliver a warhead!

From time to time we all wax & wane poetically about the past… “The Good Old Days”… Looking for a short respite from the pressures and issues of today. The past four days have been filled with the excitement of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament; March Madness! Which is a great diversion from the blubbering idiots in Washington, D.C. whom collectively, are working as hard & fast as they can to destroy this Great Experiment known as the United States of America.

I was enjoying an “adult beverage” on my patio this past week, flipping through the channels on DirecTV, where I watched part of a Monty Python episode… It was terrific & so much fun! Some number of “adult beverages” later, I was watching the Fox News Channel… Painfully suffering through the spin, whirling, twirling and twisting of the truth into the intractable lies of the President, the Speaker of the House, Senator Dodd, the Senate Majority Leader and Treasury Secretary Geithner. Man! Was my head hurting! (And it wasn’t from the canadian whiskey, either!)

Then it all became very clear to me that I had seen this movie before! How could I have not recognized it earlier? I am now convinced that we are living through a real-life epic… Coming to not only a theater near you in 2009… But making their way into your wallet, your home, your bedroom & your house of worship…

I must apologize for my extended absence... No excuses... Everything here is fine... Just been extremely busy! But, now... I’M BA-A-A-ACK!!!

When I last wrote to you, BHO had just descended from “on high” and landed at Mile High Stadium in Denver. Within a month, the banks were in dire straits (Not entirely BHO’s fault; although he, along with the other “Fools On Capitol Hill” are all culpable)... The “Fools On Capitol Hill” (The “FOCH’s”) just had to do something (although they didn’t have a clue as to what they specifically should do). The result? The $700+ billion TARP bill has money going “somewhere” in order to save the banking industry & provide the funding to stimulate lending... To date, there still has not been an increase in consumer credit or issuance of mortgages!

Fast-forward to January 21st, 2009...

“What’s going on”, asks the FOCH’s. “It’s so much worse than anything EVER! What to do? What to do?” So, what did they do? The FOCH’s decided to take another $1.3 TRILLION dollars from American tax-payers & flush that money down the same drain! It’s not that the first wad of cash spent wasn’t what was needed... OH, NO!!! The problem is that we didn’t spend enough! Oh... By the way... That last $1.3 trillion just wasn’t enough (How do these geniuses know that $1.3T isn’t enough, since none of that money has yet to be released?)... WE HAVE TO PUT TOGETHER ANOTHER SPENDING BILL FOR ANOTHER $2.2 TRILLION DOLLARS!!! Because, if we don’t get that money right now... LIFE AS WE KNOW IT WILL CEASE TO EXIST!

Let’s look at the so-called “mortgage crisis”. Simply put... There is no crisis! Anyone who tells you that there is a “mortgage crisis” is either lying to you, or they are just the dumbest rock on the planet! Why? Because the latest mortgage industry statistics show that 97% of mortgagees are current and they make their mortgage payments on time. SO WHERE IS THE CRISIS? Answer: THERE IS NO CRISIS!!! Oh... By the way... The so-called “mortgage crisis” is limited to just these five states: #1...Nevada; #2...California; #3...Arizona; #4...Michigan; and #5...Florida. Although there is no “mortgage crisis” the FOCH’s are bound & determined to get into our pocketbooks again!

Give this political strategy a thought (This worked for me while taking on a senior, political/social rival back at the University of Oklahoma in 1978)... You folks are already "in the mix" by having HRC put in nomination for the Presidential roll-call vote (I actually think y'all could pull this one off if you get your act together!)... IF this tactic doesn't work... How about nominating HRC as the Democrat VP?!?! Y'all might just ultimately get what you want!

Barack Hussein Obama... Any Way You Slice It... He's a Radical Socialist!

As a follow-on to my last piece, specifically dove-tailing on the subject of the rising cost of gasoline... let's take a look at the latest factual evidence that Barack Hussein Obama doesn't have a clue as to how capitalist economics work. I would proffer that if Obama didn't have his anti-American pea-brain stuck up his primary posterior orifice, he wouldn't put forth such policy statements about instituting a "windfall profits tax" on oil companies.

Let's take a couple of minutes to see how every "for profit" and "not for profit" business works, and then I think you'll agree that Obama is an economic moron.

Let's look at the International Widget Company (IWC). IWC knows that their cost of goods sold is made up of many components which drives them to determine the price at which they will sell their widgets... Raw materials, payroll, payroll taxes, federal taxes, state taxes, all other taxes, capital equipment to turn the raw materials into widgets, accountants, lawyers, governmental licenses & permits, utilities, etc... Well, you get the idea.

In addition to these considerations there are some other very important factors which socialists like Barack Hussein Obama fail to fathom in the world of capitalist economics. Let's take a look at two basic components which tell the tale of success or failure in the corporate world. In a "for profit", publicly traded company, the two primary metrics are "revenues" and "earnings per share".

Companies routinely advise Wall Street (which also includes working class IRA, mutual fund and 401(k) holders, and the elderly) how they expect their business to perform over the next several months. Have no doubt! Corporate leaders of IWC will meet their numbers! After all, that is how their Board of Directors evaluate their effectiveness in leading the corporation and "delivering the goods"!

OK... So some "FoolOnCapitolHill" (Barack Hussein Obama) decides in their feeble, socialist mind, that IWC has made "obscene profits" while selling their widgets. And this FOCH tells his fellow FOCHs that they need to teach IWC a lesson and levy a windfall profits tax... And they do! What happens next? (Glad you asked!)

IWC now has several options to consider. Let's explore these option, but remember this... The CEO, CFO, COO and and every other C-level yahoo who is incentivized by making both their revenue & earnings per share number WILL MAKE THEIR NUMBER... NO MATTER WHAT!!! Have no doubt about that!

So the FOCHs levy a big tax... They expect IWC to pay the tax... If IWC pays the tax, those C-level guys don't hit their numbers & don't get their bonuses (Remember... This AIN'T gonna happen!) So what is a poor CEO to do? It's just this simple: (A) Raise prices to cover the cost of the tax; (B) Cut expenses; (C) Both. Guess what? "(C)" is what happens more often than not. This means that Barack Hussein Obama & The FOCHs attempt to "punish" IWC have instead raised prices for widgets, fueled inflation, cost working people their jobs, increased unemployment & unemployment claims, slowed consumer spending and consumption, cost other working class jobs in other businesses which relied upon the laid-off workers from IWC who used to patronize their businesses... Well, you get the idea! Too bad that Barack Hussein Obama & The FOCHs don't seem to get it!

In other words, trying to "punish" companies for doing what it is they are in business to do never does punish the company... It punishes consumers (The poorest of the poor most of all) and sets all of us back. And in the process it also negatively impacts the share price of IWC (Or ExxonMobil, Shell, etc...) which negatively impacts the retirement income of the elderly, school teachers, firefighters... EVERYONE!!!

In closing, I believe I can sum this up in the following... "Barack Hussein Obama... Scary As Hell"!

Perhaps There Is A Silver Lining...

There has only been one, truly big news story for the past three weeks... The price of oil hitting $140 per barrel & gasoline skyrocketing past $4.00 per gallon. This has been very unnerving to people everywhere, and some have even described their concern as "fear". Now, although not having a good idea how high these prices will go can be disconcerting, I have a hard time wrapping my mind around the thought of describing the current situation as fearful. That not withstanding, there is absolutely no doubt that the public is pretty torqued! And the FOCHs (Fools On Capital Hill) have heard the hue & cry of the folks back home and promptly subpoenaed the CEOs of the evil oil companies to answer for their criminal, predatory pricing practices. (Thank, God, that Big Brother is watching out for us!) And what did we learn from these hearings? We all learned just how ignorant & incompetent those FOCHs truly are! And in the process the FOCHs learned a lesson that most of us were taught as children... Whenever you point a finger at someone assigning blame, there are three fingers pointing back at you!

Then all Hell started breaking loose as the truth started sinking into our corporate minds. The blame of rising oil & fuel prices isn't the fault of the evil oil companies... The blame lies with Congress! In other words, we the people have been FOCH'd! No drilling in ANWR... No drilling off the continental shelf on either coast (Although the FOCHs don't seem to have any problem with the Chinese & Cubans doing same off Florida)... No new refineries in the past 35 years... No new nuclear power plants. NO! Nothing allowed that might facilitate energy independence within ten years... OH, NO-O-O!!! We can't have any of that now, can we? No, absolutely not! It's much more important that we send billions of dollars each and every day to Muslim terrorist states in the middle east, and to psychotic dictators and corrupt politicians in South America and Mexico!

So, back to the title statement... "Perhaps There Is A Silver Lining..." And that silver lining is this: Polling data out this week overwhelmingly shows that Americans want to drill here... drill now... and are no longer willing to let whiny, emotional, mentally-malformed environmental crybabies rule the day! We want to take OUR oil out of OUR ground & off of OUR coastlines... Refine it HERE... Keep OUR money HERE AT HOME... And to quit funding terrorist states and hostile foreign governments!

Perhaps there is a silver lining... But if we all don't take action, that silver lining will probably only turnout to be Fool's Gold!

This blog is first dedicated to the reestablishment of the fundamental constitutional rights and freedoms which are inherent to all Americans, and to those freedom-loving people around the world who long to live in peace, in pursuit of their dreams and all that their God-given talents will allow.

Before I go any further I must Thank my son-in-law for his patience with his "techno-idiot" father-in-law for his help in getting me started with this blog. Patience is truly one of his virtues... Me, (Not so much!). And as a matter of fact, neither do I gladly suffer fools.

So, "why", you may ask... Why "The Spartacus Revolution"? Spartacus was born a free citizen in Thrace (Macedonia) who served in the Roman army, deserted, was hunted down, captured and sold into slavery. After his gladiatorial training he organized & lead an uprising and escape from bondage, and raised a populist army which defeated Roman Legions on several occasions. I won't go into the history in any greater detail at this time (you can do that). My point is that it is time for all citizens to rise-up against those political tyrants in Rome (aka, Washington, D.C.) and to reclaim our freedoms & basic constitutional rights which have been stripped away from us! This blog is my vehicle to challenge Rome and to help my fellow countrymen find their voice, and to lend a hand to bring intellect, logic and true historical facts to the fight.

It is my intention to comment on the political discussion of the day not just by regurgitating that which can read & hear elsewhere. It is my desire to enhance the day's discussion and to challenge the status quo to move beyond that which has been argued to death, recycled and failed. We need to examine what has been done by Rome and to challenge their failed results, and to demand action to right their wrongs. And shame on us if we don't take action to force them to act, and to act in accordance with the Constitution of the United States!
