The Legacy of Ted Kennedy... What You Won't See on the Network This Week...

For those of you too young to remember...this is all documented history.

A few days ago, from her grave, I thought I heard the voice ofMary Jo Kopechne (July 26, 1940 ‐ July 18, 1969)...

"This year I would have been 67 years old. My only wish, is that you please

refresh your memory of me and my murderer."

“When Senator Ted Kennedy was merely just another Democrat bloating on

Capitol Hill on behalf of liberal causes, it was perhaps excusable to ignore his

deplorable past. But now that he has become the leading Democrat attack

dog, positioning himself as Washington 's leading arbiter of truth and

integrity, the 20 days for such indulgence are now over. It is time for good

Americans to stand up and remind our countrymen why this man had to

abandon his own presidential bid in 1980. It is time to say the words, "Mary Jo

Kopechne" out loud.”

As is often the case, Republicans have deluded themselves into thinking that

most Americans already know the story of how the "Conscience of the

Democrat Party" left Miss Kopechne behind to die in the waters underneath

the Edgartown, Massachusetts, Bridge on July 17th, 1969 after a night of

drinking and partying with the young blonde campaign worker.

But most Americans under 40 have never heard that story, or the details of

how Kennedy swam to safety, and then tried to get his cousin Joe Garghan to

say he, Garghan, was behind the wheel.

Those young voters don't know how Miss Kopechne, trapped inside Kennedy's

Oldsmobile, gasped for air until she finally died (some medical experts saying

two and one‐half hours later), while this leading Democrat Iraq war critic

rushed back to his family's compound to formulate the best alibi possible.

Nor does Gen‐X know how Kennedy was thrown out of Harvard on his ear 15

years earlier for paying a fellow student to take his Spanish final.

Nor why the US Army denied him a commission because he cheated on tests.

As they listened to the Democrats' "Liberal Lion" accuse President Bush of

"telling lie after lie after lie" to get America to go to war in Iraq, young voters

don't know about that notorious 1991 Easter weekend in Palm Beach, when

Uncle Teddy rounded up his nephews for a night on the town; an evening that

ended with one of them credibly accused of rape.

It's time for Republicans and Democrats with a soul to state unabashedly that

they will no longer "go along with the gag" when it comes to Uncle Ted's rants

about deception and moral turpitude inside the Bush White House.

Since the Republicans won't do it, let's do it ourselves by passing this

forgotten chapter of history to everyone you know in order to wake up the

memories of that disgrace to our nation's leadership, which is Ted Kennedy.

AND…

Isn’t it also a magnification of this disgrace and shame that this man was

recently awarded the Medal of Freedom by President Obama. Sickening!

Anybody? Anything? No? Didn't think so! Bottom line... We've spent hundreds billion of dollars to fund an agency... The reason for which it was created... No one can remember. Ready for the answer? It was very simple, and at the time everyone thought it very appropriate...

The Department of Energy was created on August 4th, 1977…

TO LESSEN OUR DEPENDENCE ON FOREIGN OIL!

Hey! Pretty effective outfit, huh? Now it’s 2009... 32 years later… And the budget for this “necessary” Cabinet level department now stands at $24.2 billion dollars a year! It now has 16,000 full-time government employees and approximately 100,000 contract employees. And just take a look at the marvelously wonderful job it has done to accomplish it’s solitary mission & reason for coming into existence! We have gone from importing less than 30% of our crude oil consumption to more than 65%! HEY! That’s going in the WRONG direction!

I’ll tell you what… Give me just one, single payment of ONE billion dollars, and I’ll have the original mission accomplished within one year… Declare “Victory”… Turn off the lights... Shut the doors & lock it all up!

Now, this is where you slap yourself in the forehead and ask, "WHAT Were We THINKING?" Ah, Yes! Good old government bureaucratic efficiency!

And NOW we’re going to turn the banking & financial systems, all of healthcare and the auto industry over to these same geniuses? Unbelievable, right? Yeah… Unbelievably STUPID!!!

The Tide is Turning!

Today I’m going to take a look at the recent gains being made by Conservatives; and taking a deep breath because we ARE winning this fight for America!

Radio Hall of Famer Neal Boortz has a descriptor which he uses for the vast majority of people who do not take the time to keep up with current events, or for that matter, even bother to improve their understanding of how it is that the United States has gotten to where we are today. Boortz calls this bunch… “The Dumb-Masses”. To be sure, there are a whole lot of “Dumb-Masses” out here! When I become exasperated by these folks I just wonder out loud, “How in the world did the United States ever get to where we are today with idiots like these, wasting my oxygen?”.

But, I am beginning to gain a strong sense of a re-awakening of the American people mobilizing; taking strong & substantive action to hold their elected representatives accountable; putting the pols on notice that come the next election cycle… THEY’RE GONE!

And this re-awakening isn’t limited to, or having impact only among Republicans… This frustration of the electorate is also manifesting itself among Democrats! The Democrats in office are embarrassing the Hell out of their supporters back home! Even these folks are waking up to the realization that they have been “had” by the socialists who have hijacked their Party!

People who have NEVER attended a townhall meeting, written a letter to the editor of their local newspaper, called their Representative or Senators in Washington, D.C., are certainly doing so now! This is democracy in action! And it is this demonstration of exercising our God given right to petition our government… To present our grievances & to have our elected representatives take action accordingly… THAT’S WHAT ME & MY BROTHERS IN ARMS HAVE SERVED, FOUGHT, BLED & DIED FOR!

The attempts by the Socialists to silence citizens is tantamount to Treason… And these traitors must be forced from office at the polls! As I said, even Democrats are embarrassed & are fighting back… As are Seniors and union members! All of these traditional Democrat groups are embarrassed by the Nazi-like tactics for the DNC and White House to try to silence them and their fellow citizens… As well they should be! Union thugs stabbing a black man in St Louis because he showed-up at a Russ Carnahan (D-MO) townhall meeting… A man in Tampa, whose only transgression at a meeting with his Congresswoman was showing up with a differing opinion on Obamacare; was struck in the face by the local County Democrat Party Treasurer… So, where is the openness & welcoming “love” of the Left? (You might be able to find it the next time you get off the Throne and take a look behind you before you flush!)

I take a little comfort these days in watching the true character of America surfacing… That of a conservative people, who just want to be left alone by the federal government to live their lives in peace & to provide for their families the best they can. People are also reading the Constitution (most for the first time!) and realizing what a simple, elegant, and straight-forward document it really is… And this scares the Hell out of the Socialists! People are realizing that 99.999% of everything the federal government does, and has done over the past 100 years is unconstitutional; and is designed to limit the people’s freedom to live their lives as they best see fit… And the “Dumb-Masses” are wising-up & telling Washington… “NO”! It’s OUR country… OUR government… OUR lives… And we’re just not going to put-up with anymore talk or actions which are driving us toward the unending, enslaving Hell of Socialism!

I believe that irrespective of political affiliation & labels that most Americans still want, and will always want the same thing… To live & let live, without the yolk of political enslavement. We have a long way to go to reverse that which the federal government has done to us over the past 100 years, but we can get there… If we just keep paying attention, and don’t allow ourselves to become one of the… “Dumb-Masses”!

Two years ago, the thought of the President of the United States asking Americans to “turn-in your neighbors” if they have a point of view that differs from the federal government, was unfathomable! Facts Are Stubborn Things

Opponents of health insurance reform may find the truth a little inconvenient, but as our second president famously said, "facts are stubborn things."

Scary chain emails and videos are starting to percolate on the internet, breathlessly claiming, for example, to "uncover" the truth about the President’s health insurance reform positions.

In this video, Linda Douglass, the communications director for the White House’s Health Reform Office, addresses one example that makes it look like the President intends to "eliminate" private coverage, when the reality couldn’t be further from the truth.

For the record, the President has consistently said that if you like your insurance plan, your doctor, or both, you will be able to keep them. He has even proposed eight consumer protections relating specifically to the health insurance industry.

There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.

Here are some highlights of the bill… You should let your Senators and Representatives know your thoughts on these. Now, unless you are a self-avowed Marxist (just as Obama has admitted to in his books)… If these FACTS don’t motivate you to OPENLY OPPOSE AND PROTEST THIS MOVE TO SOCIALISM… Then do the rest of Americans a favor… Renounce your citizenship & quit voting to SCREW-UP our most envied way of life!

THE HEALTH CARE BILL... This bill is a government attack ON YOUR PERSONAL, CONSTITUTIONALLY PROTECTED RIGHTS, disguised as “healthcare”! Since I’m sure you have read just as much of this legislation, as have the Socialist Democrats & the majority of Republicans… Here are just a few examples of what you will be subjected to (and subject to large fines & imprisonment IF YOU DO NOT COMPLY)!!!

• Page 22: Mandates audits of all employers that self-insure!
• Page 29: Admission: your health care will be rationed!
• Page 30: A government committee will decide what treatments and benefits you get (and, unlike an insurer, there will be no appeals process)
• Page 42: The "Health Choices Commissioner" will decide health benefits for you. You will have no choice. NONE!
• Page 50: All non-US citizens, illegal or not, will be provided with free healthcare services… WHICH TAXPAYERS WILL PAY FOR!

• Page 58: Every person will be issued a National ID Healthcard.

• Page 59: The federal government will have direct, real-time access to all individual bank accounts for electronic funds transfer.
• Page 65: Taxpayers will subsidize all union retiree and community organizer health plans (read: SEIU, UAW and ACORN)
• Page 72: All private healthcare plans must conform to government rules to participate in a Healthcare Exchange.
• Page 84: All private healthcare plans must participate in the Healthcare Exchange (i.e., total government control of private plans)
• Page 91: Government mandates linguistic infrastructure for services… translation: illegal aliens
• Page 95: The Government will pay ACORN and Americorps to sign up individuals for Government-run Health Care plan.

• Page 149: Any employer with a payroll of $400K or more, who does not offer the public option, pays an 8% tax on payroll
• Page 150: Any employer with a payroll of $250K- $400K or more, who does not offer the public option, pays a 2 to 6% tax on payroll
• Page 167: Any individual who doesn’t have acceptable healthcare (according to the government) will be taxed 2.5% of income... By the way... This applies to MEDICARE & SOCIAL SECURITY RECIPIENTS!!!
• Page 170: Any NON-RESIDENT alien is exempt from individual taxes (Americans will pay for them).
• Page 195: Officers and employees of Government Healthcare Bureaucracy will have access to ALL financial and personal records of each & every American!
• Page 203: "The tax imposed under this section shall not be treated as tax." Yes, it really says that.
• Page 239: Bill will reduce physician services for Medicaid. Seniors, the poor and the permanently disabled are the most affected!
• Page 241: Doctors: no matter what speciality you have, you'll all be paid the same (Thanks, AMA!)
• Page 253: Government sets value of doctors' time, their professional judgment, etc.
• Page 265: Government mandates and controls productivity for private healthcare industries.
• Page 268: Government regulates rental and purchase of power-driven wheelchairs.
• Page 272: Cancer patients: welcome to the wonderful world of rationing!
• Page 280: Hospitals will be penalized for what the government deems preventable re-admissions.
• Page 298: Doctors: if you treat a patient during an initial admission that results in a readmission, you will be penalized by the government.
• Page 317: Doctors: you are now prohibited for owning and investing in healthcare companies!
• Page 318: Prohibition on hospital expansion. Hospitals cannot expand without government approval.
• Page 321: Hospital expansion hinges on "community" input: in other words, yet another payoff for ACORN.
• Page 335: Government mandates establishment of outcome-based measures: i.e., rationing.
• Page 341: Government has authority to disqualify Medicare Advantage Plans, HMOs, etc... THIS MARKS THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF YOUR MEDICARE!!!

• Page 425: More bureaucracy: Advance Care Planning Consult: Senior Citizens, assisted suicide, euthanasia?
• Page 425: Government will instruct and consult regarding living wills, durable powers of attorney, etc. Mandatory. Appears to lock in estate taxes ahead of time.
• Page 425: Goverment provides approved list of end-of-life resources, guiding you in death.
• Page 427: Government mandates program that orders end-of-life treatment; government dictates how your life ends.
• Page 429: Advance Care Planning Consult will be used to dictate treatment as patient's health deteriorates. This can include an ORDER for end-of-life plans. An ORDER from the GOVERNMENT.
• Page 430: Government will decide what level of treatments you may have at end-of-life.
• Page 469: Community-based Home Medical Services: more payoffs for ACORN.
• Page 472: Payments to Community-based organizations: more payoffs for ACORN.
• Page 489: Government will cover marriage and family therapy. Government intervenes in your marriage.
• Page 494: Government will cover mental health services: defining, creating and rationing those services.

And don’t forget this provision of EACH & EVERY piece of federal legislation… Members of Congress (and ACORN, SEIU and TEAMSTERS) are EXEMPT from “healthcare reform”… Congress KEEPS their “Gold-Plated Health Insurance” while you are FORCED to subject you & your family to sub-standard government “malpractice”!
